Stop It Now! Key safeguarding advice for parents and carers – https://www.stopitnow.org.uk/

Our confidential Stop It Now! helpline is still open and here for anyone with concerns about child sexual abuse prevention, including parents, carers and professionals. If you’re not ready to speak to someone or don’t want to, you can use our new live chat or secure messaging service.
We’ve published a blog post with some key advice for parents and carers on how to keep their children safe during lockdown. The post gives advice about spotting warning signs, the importance of open communication and how to report issues. You can also find more information in our 12 new short films which aim to help parents, carers and professionals learn more about child sexual abuse, how to spot warning signs of abuse and where to get help and advice. Watch the films here.
Around one third of child sexual abuse is thought to be carried out by under 18s. With lockdown continuing, there’s a risk that cases of harm might increase, as some children will be spending more time unsupervised offline and online or away from protective adults.
That’s why we’ve made a guide for parents, carers and professionals to help them be aware of the risks of harmful sexual behaviour in children and young people, so that they know what they can do to prevent it. It’s got support, advice and information, plus resources and links to useful organisations.
