St Bartholomew's CofE Vc Primary School News

At St Bartholomew's we are always ready to welcome new students, parents and families into the family of St Bartholomew's, if you would like to come and visit the school then get in contact and we will be happy to book you in. Or if you have visited and would like to join St Bartholomew's then please follow the instructions below about admissions, the rules have changed slightly over the past few months and we no longer can accept admissions directly.
If you live in Worcestershire and your child is due to start school in Reception or to transfer from a school to St Bartholomew’s school during the school year 2018/19, then you must apply to Worcestershire County Council for your child / children’s school place – the opening and closing dates for applications are below.
Mid Year Transfer if you wish your child / children to join St Bartholomew's during the school year then you can download the required CA1 application form from www.worcestershire.gov.uk/schooladmissions this paper form then needs to be brought to us and we will do the rest, its that easy!
If you live outside Worcestershire and wish to apply for a place at any Worcestershire school, you must complete an application provided by your "home" LA. (The "home" LA is defined as the Local Authority relevant to the child's home address). The "home" LA will ensure that the application details are passed onto Worcestershire LA for consideration in the allocation of school places. If you are not resident in Worcestershire, then you should obtain admission details from your home LA, even if your preferences include schools within Worcestershire.
The 2018/19 Admissions and Transfers to Schools Information for Parents Book and the Starting School parental guide, Transfer to Middle School and Transfer to Secondary School parental guides will be available on the website www.worcestershire.gov.uk/schooladmissions
The closing date to apply for a place in Reception class for September 2019 is 16th January 2019

If you do not have access to the internet, you can get online at any Worcestershire library.
Training on "How to get online" is available free to all Worcestershire Library members.

Guidelines for Children with Statements of
Special Educational Needs or an Education, Health and Care Plan
Please apply online through School Admissions at www.worcestershire.gov.uk/schooladmissions and tick the
box which indicates whether your child has a statement of Special Educational Needs or an Education, Health and
Care Plan.If your child attends a mainstream setting and you are requesting a place in a special school or specialist provision, then you must also indicate a mainstream choice as well.
